AJAX Calendar

John Godley has AJAX Calendar widget for WordPress.

AJAX Calendar for WordPress is a plugin that will display an AJAXified WordPress calendar.

AJAX Calendar enhances the functionality of the standard calendar by:

  • Allowing the asynchronous navigation of months, without updating the page
  • Adding a drop-down list of post titles in each month (through the «-» button)
  • Adding full caching support to reduce server load

Installation

The plugin is simple to install:

  1. Download the zip file
  2. Unpack the zip. You should have a directory called ajax_calendar, containing several PHP files
  3. Upload the ajax_calendar directory to the wp-content/plugins directory on your WordPress installation. It is important you retain the ajax_calendar directory structure
  4. Make any modifications to your theme, as required
  5. Activate plugin

You can find full details of installing a plugin on the plugin installation page.

I like the Ajax calendar widget and am now using it on my blog. I would like the widget even better if there was a way to have the weeks start on Sunday instead of Monday. I am used to the US calendars as opposed the European calendar format.

Hi, it’s a nice widget, but is it possible to modify the calendar somehow. I jut want to make the numbers smaller and change their font. Do I have to do this in the site-css or in the widget editor in wordpress?
